Hey everyone,

I spent a bit of time with MattA yesterday and today, learnt a lot, went for a dig wrestled with some horses, talked philosophy and all the other stuff that goes with it. I was lucky enough to receive some nice " little " pots, and I have a few smaller trees ( sticks ) that were suitable for the projects.

Sorry Matt, the verigated serissa made it into the bell pot, but I ran out of light, so couldn't get a decent photo.
Will post that one tomorrow.

Anyone else got some baby trees to show? They are my favorite, and cheers for the pots matt, they have well and truly found a home here.

I have a couple of recently discovered tiny ones, but I'll wait until I'm sure they survive to post. Awesome pots though, I could use a few of those!

I'd love to see them when they make it mate. I think small trees are awesome, anyone else got some little ones hiding?

This is the second attempt got it all typed out got nearly all the pictures then it all disappeared. So here we go again hopefully.

Very nice trees, Pup (as always). 9 years is a long time for such little guys. Any tips on caring for something this small?

The two I have are acacias. I noticed them walking while down the road, and since the weed spraying crew was right behind me decided to grab them. Unfortunately, I didn't have any tools at all, so after scraping the top soil off with my fingers, I had to just pull them like weeds. Ordinarily I wouldn't do that, but it was then or never so I went for it. The leaves are still green so I think they'll make it, but need a few weeks to recover. I'll post pics as soon as I'm sure they are out of the woods and growing again.

Very nice pup!!! I have a few hundred elm cuttings that I'll be playing with next year, hopefully most of them make it, as I'll be making a large "scale" landscape with them, hoping to get around fifty trees in the one pot or slab.

The biggest problem with this art form is that you always run out of space for your ideas to continue making it onto your benches. That's why we build bigger ones I suppose!!!! Lol.

Here's my smallest - I had a maple from layering even smaller but it died - I had it careful shaded by another tree, and when the rain came it stayed dry... and hidden away.

This one's an elm cutting, only about two years old. I can't remember which elm needed such a substantial chunk taken off it, but certainly, never throw away any bit of elm you've cut off that looks interesting.

How do you keep these small pots moist. Because they are so small I imagine they would dried out quickly, What is the secret to watering these, dripper system, sit in container of water???? please share..

I keep mine in a tray of gravel and water. Seems to be working quite well.

On my bench I have 2 shallow Trays that are filled with Gravel, and the miis sit on top of the gravel. The watering system ( sprayers) comes on 2 times a day in Summer and Kepps them happy
