I did a little more work today. Not really bonsai but I think it will make a pretty impressive veranda tree. Especialy when the fruit matures I work the branches and get the soil colour right.
It was collected 2 years ago when a friend installed a pool.

i love the way bonsai has to taught us to think about the rest of our garden plants. i commend some creativity in our gardens.

Gets me thinking too... The French have been using espalier techniques since the 16th century, probably earlier.
I guess it is like a form of bonsai too.

That's an LR Soltan, would be great to see a bit of branch structure. Great trunk, has it got any scars?

LR Orange ?? Is that a species. I would like to know what species it is.
I am going to take it slowly. I don't think it was the best time to repot. I trimmed as little as possible of the bottom and left the rest undisturbed. I would like it a bit lower in the pot but that will come in time. I will wait to make sure it is over the repot before I get stuck into the branches. I am thinking when the fruit is almost mature would be a good time. I was a little worried that I would stress it so much that it would drop it's fruit. It has made it through it's first day with no issues
