There are different grades, fine right up to chunky, I have used the standard stuff with success in the past and have recently tried it out in mixes with coarse pumice and diatomite with promising results.
PS. Does anyone require 5-8mm pine nuggets?
I have a shirtload.

Coco Peat and coco coir both are same. They are obtained from coconut. These are Eco-Friendly products. They are very useful in plant growth. They work as a fertilizer. If you use it then you need minimum water and fertilizer in gardening.

I'm not familiar with the exact product mentioned above and it looks like it is more than just coco peat, but what I have heard (and
read on Wikipedia) suggests that plain coco peat is not a very good source of plant nutrients, and may even interfere with some. Breakdown requires nitrogen, and high potassium can interfere with magnesium absorption by the plant. It does a very good job with water retention while also allowing air to the roots though.
I've used it before with good results, just wanted to point out a few things to be aware of if you're planning on using coco peat. I would not count on it for its fertilizing benefits.

Yes they are used as a fertilizer. They increases the productivity of soil. As they are natural fertilizer.

Mate, everything I can find says that coco peat has an NPK analysis of 0-0-0, which means it is a growing medium or soil additive and not a fertilizer. It may have some helpful micronutrients and may increase the quality of the soil in other ways, but not those required to be called a fertilizer. I have seen products that have other things such as manure added to the coir, but the fertilizing comes from the manure and not the coir. If you have a source or something that shows that coir is indeed a fertilizer then I'd be glad to know.
I hope this doesn't sound like I'm against use of coco peat - I have used it and I like it. But it's important to know what we can expect from the things we use to grow our plants. If we expect things to do more than they can, then we're just setting ourselves up for failure.

It is an inert medium. It is used as a soil additive to help moisture retention. It is NOT a fertiliser.

I second lackhand and pup' s message. Coco peat is inert."bioactive peat" has fertiliser added ( this is from their website) and is good for 3 months.
Coco peat is used for water retention and aeration in bonsai mixes
