First Bonsai - Japanese White Pine.

I have been training this Japanese White Pine in the ground for around 6 years. Potted up today and gave it a significant foliage/branch removal. I still plan to remove around 80% of the branch on the right, away from the slant.

I doubt I will turn it into a show winnning tree, but it could be something nice.
Any other suggestions welcomed.

thats a good sized pot to allow the tree to grow. What potting mix is that ? It looks a bit gluggy.

Hi. I think you'll find it's a Cedar, not a JWP.

Cheers,
Mojo

I bought it at bonsai show as a potted plant about 12 years ago and it was sold under that name. LOL I don't really mind if it's really a Cedar. I am only interested in turning into a nice bonsai looking tree.
