Some have started to colour; some not at all despite cooler temps. we have had as low as 3 to 4 degrees but more usually it is between 6 to 12 degrees at night.

What is the ground cover on the Washington thorn?

oh my gosh. I love that Hawthorn with the berries. Very beautiful. What type of Hawthorn is that?

English hawthorn, Crataegous monogyna. Wild tree dug a number of years ago.

Thanks, I'll have to keep an eye out if I see one. I love hawthorns, but have not found any yet. Love the colours on that Washington too....

Having known some of these for years, but never seeing the true colours they get. I am really looking forward to seeing them next week.
