I did a bit of searching on the web and found these places that one can buy carving tools hope it's helpful

i've just been in contact with tony from kutem tools and he says that with normal post a small parcel from south africa will cost R75 ( $9 ) hope this is helpful guys

you can get some at carba-tec 27 magill rd stepney , if you want japanese carving tools try Kaneshin Bonsai Tools but be prepared to pay

Glad you also got good service from tony at kutem tools good bloke he is , really happy with the tools i got from him superior to kaizen and cheaper can't go wrong

hi everyone
interesting discussion on carving bits. i too have been looking for apropriate bonsai carving bits and was disappointed with the dremel bits from B......... until i found these.

they are imported from Taiwan, come in 8 different sizes and designs. the bigger ones fit 5.0mm or greater in chuck size(not sure how to describe it, but it measures 5.0mm in diameter the bit that goes into the chuck). NO 6 fits 3.0mm or greater chuck. they are $33.00 each and i can post them australia wide free of charge. :tu:

i have only limited supply now, but i can arrange for more to be sent. pm me if interested.
