[]Here is a couple of pots that I have just unloaded from the kiln. I have been playing around with some design for native plants for a couple of years and now have finally put some effort in. These are just a few because my camera/computer interface has ben causing me problems. I think I may have finally worked it out. Only took 6 months.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. I really like the straight sided rectangles, particularly the wood grain design. Very cool. Too bad I won't be able to make it there and buy it, but when you add in the plane ticket, that would make for a mighty expensive pot. I'm sure it will find a good home though.

I would appreciate some feed back from others . love hate indifferent. should I go back to my old style of freeform pots only.

Lovely pots (love the euc pot) but so small. It is difficult, i guess, with kiln sizes but i would love to see them about 300-400mm for medium sized trees.
P.S the pictures came up different (due to the many difficulty's our site is experiencing) and i thought the numbers were sizes The bottom one is wonderful and could you add dimensions? Maybe they might come up later, or on another thread

I can't say that I'm a big fan of the green square one with the leaves and gum nut.
And personally I don't care much for this half moon, scoop pot fad either.

I think they are great, they'd go beautifully with natives! I just wish I had some trees to put in them. Particulary like the bark effect pots and the first Euc one I think the last Euc one may be a bit too light for my liking, but thats just my for what it is worth

thank you all for the feed back. What I have found is, I can't make pots just that I like as everybody's taste is so different. I didn't like the euc pot when I first made one, but when I put a gum with similar shaped leaves in it, I quite liked it. I don't like the rusty iron pot, just doesn't work for me, but I like to experiment to get different look so my pots don't all look the same. I like scoop pots because to me them tell a story, although the ones I have made for myself curve over much further, so they tell the story of a seed that fell into a crevasse in the rock.
The sizes are as follows, in order
30 x 18 x 6.5, 30 x 20.5 x 5.5, 16cm diameter height 25cm, 30 x18 x 7.5, 29 x 17 x 7, 24 x 16.5 7.5 40 x 20 x 8, 16x 17 x8.

You're right Lynette, you need variety if you want good sales. I think you have done a good job, I know I see a few I would like.

I'm curious as to the scoop pots you mentioned making for yourself, any chance you could post a picture? I've never been in love with scoop pots myself, so I'm curious to see a slightly different take.

The top of the pot curves almost over the base like a C shape flattened out. I am leaving for Canberra in the morning. so if I remember by the time I get back I will take a photo. I might have a head full of new ideas to try. So if I forget give me a prompt.

I like your "rocky pot" quite unique, and gives a great impression of (some parts of) the Aussie landscape I think variety is a good thing

I think the finish of the rusty iron pot looks great (from the photo at least), great concept and nicely detailed, but probably doesn't even need the physical detailing (might even work with some light background stenciling? - just a thought as I don't know the technicalities involved with pottery and glaze finnishes ), even just the rusty finish on a rectangle pot is enough to evoke the feeling
