Correa windswept.

After fixing my car. Again :palm: . I thought I would share something more fun.

This is a Correa that I got from another bargain bin (1 out of 5 survived harsh treatment). I just realised that its not a Correa Alba like I was told because clearly the flowers aren't white, so I guess its C. reflexa :lost: . I've had it about 8 months and it had this basic shape. It had a trim when I got it and then worked the roots 2 months later.

So the first photo is where I think I see it heading. The dense foliage pads make it hard to have any other front without a dramatic change. Its 12cm high, 21cm long and with the lean back its 12cm deep. It has had some flowers come out already and their are still some more flower buds coming out. I could take them off to try for more growth but I like them so I'll just enjoy them. think it would go into a rustic fractured bowl with an earthy tone.

The roots are interesting but the plant is obviously from a cutting in my opinion. I don't know if that is just the way I see them and if I can get them to improve.

I would like some opinions about the suggested potting angle and wether the right hand side bottom branch will work with some more development.

I think a windswept would work. You will need to lose the left hand branch altogether to make it happen though. I would wire the two right hand branches for some movement to begin with to see how it looks and go from there.

Here is an update for this little Correa.
He got a Lorraine Simpson pot when I went to the Native Bonsai Show in Melbourne. It was reworked into the pot in a few months ago and has been there happily. Still surprises me how much flowers it shows off. This tree has been a lot of fun so far.
