Visiting Bonsai Master (Crazy) Uchida Yusuke (Japan)

Uchi made himself known to many attending the AABC Bonsai Convention in Canberra earlier this month. (He insists he is a Black Pine Crazy rather than a Bonsai Master.) Black Pines and Junipers are his preference but is across all material courtesy of a 4.5 year apprenticeship in Japan.

Since then Uchi has made himself available to work on bonsai here in Sydney.

I had the pleasure of his company at our home for a few days and the benefit of his considerable expertise working on a few of my trees. I have now decided to dump all my trees and just keep the ones he worked on!

I must say I was impressed not only but Uchi's expertise but the effectiveness of copper wiring in his hands. Fantastic! It seems to me that the extra cost is offset by the lesser amount needed to get better results.

A couple of Before and After of a Red Pine and a Atlantic Cedar.
