Camellia pot plant

I have had this Camellia for a while. I dug it from my garden and then removed some heavy branches from the base. Unfortunately the removal resulted in part of the trunk dying which is why their is a couple of bad scares on the lower trunk.
I keep this tree just for the flowers not for its technical qualities as a Bonsai.

Peter

Peter, Very nice!
What do you think caused the die back? Rot? Or maybe they have some kind of life vains like some plants...(Buddleja)...where a root is connected to a branch?
Do the leaf reduce?

Neli,
I suspect that the die back was caused by either digging to close to the trunk or by not letting it recover long enough before working on it.
I have not been able to reduce the leaf size.

Peter

Like it very much Peter

nice one.
I have a seedling of Hiryu, it has not yet flowered but it has smaller leaves than the parent and was the best of 20 or so seedlings, (flowers aside

). I get some reasonable results with leaf size by pinching out shoots once they get to 2-3 leaves (dependant on internode length).
Have you tried C.transnokoenensis?
Small leaf, (approx 20mm long) and small single white flowers with yellow centre.
