been a lurker here for a few months just reading and now iv decided to make a post. iv have a melaleuca that i dug up from my grandads farm for about 2-3 years that iv been styling to an informal broom type (sorry no pics yet) that would be my oldest one.
i also have a 1 year old white pine that i got from a friend, training is formal upright
i also have a few banksias and spearwoods that i dug up a few months ago from the farm, just letting them grow at this stage.
and now the reason for my postl a week ago i got about 300 seeds (30 species x 10 seeds of each) from ebay, hoping to get atleast 1 sample of each species.
got them started in foam cups, i have pics on a facebook page i made to blog their progress, the foam cups have holes in the bottom for drainage and plastic sandwich bags over the top. hopefully should get a good crop but being winter now and most of them liking warmth i dont know.
i dont know how to post pics on here so if u want to see the facebook page just look up smiling rock bonsai
its named that coz i put half of them at my work since theres more space, i have a bunch of them in baking trays inside my loungeroom haha
