Straight from the Kiln

These are some of the results of my last firing over the weekend. Over the last couple of months I did quite a lot of glaze/surface tests.
All the pots are fired at 1260 degrees Celsius to be frostproof – quite important in Switzerland and the neighbour countries. I am using this kind of pots for my Kusamono.

Enjoy,

Carlos

some interesting designs.

Personally I like the last pot in the picture set - the squat cube.

An easily recognised object, if included in shot, would give an indication of size. They must be small if destined for Kusamono. Lots of character there.

Good work Carlos!

My favourite (and a pot that would be very welcome in my collection) is the second one....less fiddly, therefore more 'immediate', and a glaze to die for.
Please accept the 'fiddly' as a VERY slight criticism that I apply to myself too!
