saw this plant at a house my dad is working on, helping them to put up their patio
i was thinking to jin both the tops by burning it and making it like a charcoal type finish
then was thinking to maybe make it windswept or just normal 2 trunk style.
at the base i can see theres remnants of an old plastic pot this plant was growing in and has grown over and the pot is stuck in to the plant a bit now, when i repot it ill try and get that old plastic out as best i can but for now this is the way it came when i got it so ill let it settle down first.
was right next to where the patio was being built so its had cement, grinder and paint on it.
so yeah any ideas on what this is?

Might need to wait a few weeks until there are some leaves to give us a few clues Arklan.

and also any ideas why it has some green leaves, some yellow leaves and some bright pink leaves?

It is a Bougainvillea spp.

Yes Pup is spot on - it's a variegated leaf form. Be careful with any cuts or carving - these need to be sealed to stop rotting.

The yellow and green leaves are the verigated leaves. That means they have two colours in the leaf. Sometimes they may revert to one dominate colur. The pink "leaves" are actually flowers. Looks healthy.

Actually, the pink are bracts that surround the flower, you will find tiny white flowers in the middle of the pink when they bloom.
