Aus Native Bonsai display at the Cranbourne RBG

“The Bonsai Federation of Australia southern will display approximately 60 Australian Native Bonsai ranging from 5 to 25 years of age. A variety of species; Banksia’s, Figs, Casuarina, Tea Trees and more. BFAs members will be present to answer questions and give guidance to those wishing to pursue this great hobby.”

The venue is the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne on Sat 7th & Sunday 8th of September.
Address: Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne 3977
Open: 9am - 5pm, daily
There is no entry fee and plenty of parking is available.
If you have never been to these gardens you have missed something! There is plenty to see and do with café and kiosk available.

Also a great opportunity for potential :aussie: native bonsai enthusiasts to get some inspiration and join the new native bonsai group currently being established :clap: . It will be an exhibition worth travelling to. miyagiman.

:tu: 20 mins from home :tu: The gardens are amazing and to have this type of display there is awesome. Should be some very lovely trees displayed is a lovely natural aussie environment.

Thanks Boics and Jason for you comments, the gardens are truly awesome when it comes to showcasing the OZ floral environment.
A bonus is the wee OZ beasties it attracts, when I was there a week or so back a small iridescent blue bird, possibly a wren was hopping around within a few feet of me showing off.

Left: Eucalyptus Leucoxylon "Rosea"
Centre: Agonis Flexuosa Willow Myrtle
Right: Callistemon Species (About to start flowering - blood red)
