A few weeks ago came up with an idea of a large elm Forrest seen one on the net an it came to me that Ive got the stock to give it a go. Most of the trees now at my elm patch are mostly straight so going to collect some medium plus trees so when i put it together i can have smaller trunks as the trees get smaller as ive all ready got the main tree an smaller ones. Will put together the forrest in a few weeks if all goes well some that ive collected a while back ill have to be gentle with the others that i collect will be planted straight into the group   im not one to waste time

Made the pot today 120X45X15cm cost just under $30 made it out of 1800x150x17mm permapine timber pictures below will update as i go ;) ;)

Attention MODS, please change heading to "freakin huge elm forest" :o
That is awesome and love where your going with it. It might just be the photo but the front of trees seems fairly flat, like a they are in a line. Might just be the photo though.

Josh.

Yeah you are right the front line of trees are abit flat across the front :palm: the main tree was collected about 5 weeks ago an has started to grow. Didnt want to re-cut the roots next year i will reduce back where possible allowing me to move it forward about 10-15cm. As for the other trees most have good nerbari so was trying to keep this wasnt easy to try an arrange ;) cant wait till this time next year ill try better placement an show more of the nebari :fc:

Let them settle in this year and recover, then next year, Repot a move the trees around to bring some further forward.
clump them together a little more on the left as well.

the big elm in this Forrest wasn't affected by the early re-pot as it continues to push heaps of shoots :D
