Hi there.

I have this cutting I collected in Autumn this year.
It has just flowered in the cuttings box.

To cancel out some possibilities, its not Kirin, Hana Asobi, Christmas Cheer or a Kiusianum variety.
:reading: My closest guess is Tama no Utena. Also possibly an Amoenum hybrid :lost:

The leaves are small, glossy and oval shaped(15-20mm long with a rounded tip) with some colour in the colder months.

Happy hunting :fc:

There are so many varieties of azalea many of which are not available in this country. Your one looks to be a hose in hose type whereas those you mentioned are singles when I google them. This is the closest that i can come up with Hachmann's Rokoko at this site which is an overseas one, but a good reference point.

Hmmm Maybe not, looks a bit too double. :lost:

Thanks Hacki.
Hirsutum is a great resource.
Hana Asobi is a single, Kirin is a hose in hose as is Christmas cheer :reading:
I might settle on Tama no Utena for now as it was at some stage available in Australia whereas the variety you suggested I am not sure exists here.
The hunt goes on :lost: ........ :? ......... :palm:
