I took my wife into Ballarat for an Op today and had time to kill. I have always admired these trees and go around every year at this time to seek inspiration. I thought today i would share them with A.B Community. Prepare to be mesmerized and the photos do them no justice at all. Oh and a few of them are flowering trees. Expand them and drool at the ramification only 150 years or so can do.

Funny you say these trees inspire you Bodhi,

I see your style often is very reflective of these trees. Your trees are often more full ( many more branches kept and wired) than others I see on here and these trees have a very similar character.

No, i agree John. The elements do it better than the human hand could ever do.

Hi Squizzy, i have been using these trees as, lets say, models for a decade or more. I am always blown away by the ramification these trees have produced over the years. I also saw this type of ramification in Omiya, Japan. Old trees they were.

Thanks for posting. They are very intense shapes, from the trunk out to the branch tips. I don't want to make a scale model of them, but the crackling complicated energy they show is something to aim for. You could layer the first one about two meters up...
