I love a good plum - as bonsai and to eat. Following are a few of my plums with photos that were taken recently.
Hope you enjoy.

Hi Watto, Great looking collection of trees. :tu: Still have all my Goulburn Plums I collected. Not ready for a pot yet, maybe next year. Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers John.

John,
The forth one is one dug at the "plum dig" on the railway line. Potted into a bonsai pot for the first time this year, and plenty of wire and a sacrific branch to get it moving in the right direction. I will see if I can get a photo of it in leaf this week.

Hi Watto,
Great trees. What is your pruning timetable? However I did mine, I didn't get a flush blossoms this spring, just leaves :x :palm: . Thanks for any advice for next season :fc:

John,
I don't trim after early February. Then in about July you can see the flower buds developed and you can prune then (and wire if necessary) avoiding the flower buds.
After they flower they go a bit mad and need a few trims to keep them in shape. I fertilize fortnightly after Chdritmas with "bloom booster" and I think that helps.
