Bill is having a great time in China at the moment but at the end of this month he will be in Western Australia Perth to be exact. You are all invited to a weekend with Bill.

Where you ask in Belmont

So hope to see all WA people there it is free to observe, if you wish to do a workshop, as a none member it will cost you.

Cheers Pup

Have put my name down for the Cascade workshop :) Just need to pop into the Bonsai Emporium to pick up some suitable stock :P

Would have loved to do a workshop on Literati, as that style really interests me (despite it being one of the hardest), but I don't think I'll be able to find stock as easily

Cannot wait, will be great to meet him in person :)

Hi,
Pup is it ok to bring semi-cascades or should we bring full cascades? Maybe I should bring a couple?
:lost:
I've got a nice lilly pilly I would like to bring, but its destined for a semi.

His take on semi cascade, is that all cascades are cascades, so yes it would be OK.

Thanks pup :)
I vaguely remember something like that mentioned last time he was here, but I was so green at the time alot of what he said went way over my head.

Pup - I recommend that everyone who can possibly get along to do so as opportunities are limited for such experiences.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of a workshop with Bill that was hosted by the Canberra Bonsai Society and it was a hoot. Bill was great. I had a tree that I wasn't really in love with but he did some work ( and I did a lot of work) and now the tree is back on the bench - love has returned.
OK I did the wiring and Bill did all the artistic work but I am really pleased with the result. It still needs a lot of refinement but it is certainly on the way.
The point is, get along and learn.
