Hi all
Just a reminder that the School has an annual show held a Ray Nescis Nursery.

The School of Bonsai Inc will hold its
31st Annual Exhibition and Show

Saturday & Sunday October 19 & 20, 2013
9am to 4pm each day

at

Ray Nesci Exhibition Centre,
26 Sagars Rd, Dural/Kenthurst

Annual Exhibition and Show Highlights:

Free parking, free admission
Free advice and styling tips (so bring your tree to the Bonsai Clinic)
Free morning and afternoon teas and coffee
Sausage Sizzle Lunch - $4 (proceeds to Westmead Children's Hospital)
Exhibition of Bonsai - over 100 trees - by students of the School of Bonsai
Terrific Prizes for Raffle
Continuous Demonstrations - variety of subjects & demonstrators

Yep was most definitely on and a great show.
on again tomorrow too so get along and see for yourself.
Some really nice trees today, and lots of viewers from the demos.

As usual, I did a tag team with Vince ( one of the school teachers), in the morning.
Great crowd and lots of interest in my torturing of junipers again :D and many interested in Diatomite mixes :-)
I bent one similar to my Shohin comp tree, and then potted up my Comp tree as part of the demo.

Amazing how tight you can bend Junipers without breaking them and people love to see it don for real :tu: :lol:

My Juniper demo tree is progressing
Looks a little bare on the left hand side but hopefully the canopy can be trained over the side over the next few years :-)

I want the apex to be much wider than it is now.

they are quite flexible when youngish so not that hard.
