I picked this Jasmine up from the tip three years ago. As the guy was tipping it i drove in and spied the Jasmine's. The others didnt make it but contrary to the normal unfolding of events, the other inferior ones died and the oldest and best survived. I am having fun with it and i am interested to see if they are bonsai-able. It was bare when i took it home and this has eventuated in a three year period. It is an old trunk because, as everyone knows, Jasmine are SLLOOOWWW. Any, i will post again when in flower. The future will be to do something with the straight trunk and will involve creating some movement or chopping it.

Thanks Fella"s, I have never tried a Jasmine before and i have not seen a successful one either (not in OZ anyway) and as i found out with other species, there is a reason for this. Lots of questions like, how long for branches to develop, what styling will suit etc. I think the next step will be to take it off at the lower right hand stub and turn it into a semi cascade which i think will suit the species more.
