As part of Garden Week, Waverley Bonsai Group will again have a display at the Melbourne Zoo this weekend (October 26 - 27). We will have members in attendance answering questions, giving advice and in general getting the public interested in our wonderful hobby. I understand that this year we will be located in one of the pavilions.

So if you're down at the Zoo this weekend come and say g'day!

Spent the day happily chatting bonsai with members and public alike, while working my Juniper. Nice pleasant day :D

Hi cre8ivbonsai , what a fantastic venue :tu: . This is the type of venue that i like to see Bonsai displayed in all their glory :D . Congrats to your club for thinking outside the square and showing off this art in a hugely popular venue like the Melbourne Zoo  . Mixing it up with the public who actually show huge interest however mis-informed they really are .Well done and I know you would have enjoyed the day in the public arena ;) .

Cheers Alpine

Thanks Alpine, as part of garden week there was also a smaller display of Orchids, and a few other zoo activities for the kids out on the lawns in front.

I see your were also busy (er than usual ;) ) last weekend up in Myrtleford promoting bonsai :tu: Well done :tu2:
