Hi people
I'm not a member so I don't have too much more info, but anyone heading up to paradise this wkend might like to stop in to the QCWA hall (7 Grove St, opp the hospital parking) on Sat and Sun. Starts at 10:00 on Sat till 16:00 on Sun.
There will be a good selection of trees as well as demonstrations and sales tables and a raffle, $2 cover charge.

This will be my first show so I'm quite excited to see the trees around the area

I'll post some pics unless someone beats me to it...

Time must be flying!!! 'cause I'm still waiting for the pictures from last years Show

So.... bonsaibeginner, I'm looking forward to your pic's!

You wouldn't believe it I was just thinking yesterday " when is the Cairns show on " ---- well now I know see you on the weekend looking forward to seeing some Temple Bells

Hi all here's a Temple Bell I got when I livid in Cairns in 2003

So I was pleased I made the trip down to Cairns yesterday. As I've said before this was the first show I'd been to and I haven't seen too many decent bonsai "in the flesh" as it were,

I was disappointed that I got down so late though as all the sold stickers were on trees that I quite liked... and I also realized I had left my camera at home so a cpl phone pics is all I managed.
A pity this was displayed in front of a window as my photo doesn't do the tree justice...

That was something I learnt about Bonsai shows very quickly, if you want the good stuff... get there before the doors open
