[Bodhidharma] E workshop Ash.
This is the small tree at 300mm tall and 100mm at the base. I think this tree has great Shohin potential.

It sure does but it is way too tall. Where will you cut it?bodhidharma wrote:This is the small tree at 300mm tall and 100mm at the base. I think this tree has great Shohin potential.

Re: [Bodhidharma] E workshop Ash.
It has an exposed root system that may well lend it self to more of a penjing treatment.
Lots of interest if you were to cut as Watto suggests and then sweep the foliage strongly to the left and down. Very dramatic!
Or cut at the next upward junction and wire down The two main branches; one to the left and one to the right. Less interesting as it doesn't really make use of the interesting rootage.
Maybe time for a sketch.
