Just to confuse us all here is another Lilly pilly. This one is Syzygium luehamanni I think.
I have read read the description that fits it best as this one. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
This was also a bought struck cutting at the same time as the other 3 years ago. It is 180mms high including the pot.

Not sure how I (or everyone) missed this post Pup
Great tree mate! I like the movement in the trunk and the flare at the base. Looks like a little reverse taper under the foliage???
I bet it is looking pretty special now in flower? Can you post a current picture please?
Thanks for sharing Derek

Unfortunately this is not in flower it is only 150mms high that pic was taken a month ago
It was on show at the weekend at a workshop we had a surprise visitor from Holland.
Gijs Meoboer ( pronounced Haysh Mober ) he has articles in Bonsai Focus and Bonsai Europe. I will post some in the interview forum.
The reason for that diatribe is he wanted to take home my Paperbarks. We have these was his comment when he looked at the Lilly pilly.

Nice Pup, it's a really nice little tree. I like the way the foliage is set out.
This is the kind of small tree I'd like to have in my collection
