This is a lemon scented gum, self sown about 5 years ago grown in the pots it sowed in till this one 2 years ago. I have taken a before and after, this is to show how I reduce the foliage.
The gum trees I have been working on have the same type of growth that Ficus do, in as much the first leaf is the smallest. So when I prune I do it to the smallest set on the branch or twig.
I find this encourages new growth to be smaller and more of it. Here is the tree.

Cheers Pup

Damn that's fine detail Pup. I'm not sure that there's no witchcraft involved. Thanks for posting.

Thankyou for posting Pup, can't beleive how small the leaves are!? I actually thought that they didn't reduce well at all... but there you go :worship: I'd love to pick your brain on natives one day, your posts alone have taught me so much

I also have one that I'm growing on at the moment, few more years and I'll have something to work with :)
