I've only had this tree for about 6 months so this was the first chance I've had to work on it.
As it was.
As it stands after working on it under thy guide of the Campbelltown bonsai club crew

New front

Back

From the top
It still needs wiring which will get done tonight, and the roots
Need tidying up and selective removal of a few. There are a few old scars which I plan to carve (if I've been good Santa will bring me a ozito rotary tool)
Keen to hear feedback.

Ozito's are garbage, santa will be bring you one every year if you use it for bonsai, trust me.
Love the fig, will you be wiring the top half of the tree as well, great effort so far

I'm not a full time carver-it will be the occasional carve-nothing hardcore.
Yes I plan to wire the entire tree.

Great looking fig! Gonna be a beauty
Have to agree ozito are average tools but you can get a few carves out of them just remember to keep the receipt and wear safety goggles.
Looking forward to seeing this tree ramify.

Sorry I have to disagree. I've done quite a bit of carving with mine no worries. I have the ozito routa for carving big stuff and the ozito dremel type tool for finer carving. Works a treat. I have quite a few ozito tools and never had a problem. They have a 3 yr replacement warranty if I do.

Yeah, I wont be parting money for ozito anymore. Halfway through drilling into the floorboards it gave up the ghost, made some horrible noises, ... the trigger fell off, and just died. Didn't keep the receipt, but only had it 6 months, and quite dissapointed.
Now, I've had to ask my wife for bunnings vouchers for xmas.
