Hi guys and gals,
First one a super root bound forgotten plant that I acquired from my folks house. It was re-potted and cut back to nothing, grown and then cut again to put into a bonsai pot. The second I bought as a "qld fig". I think I know the second one but would love any definitive answers for either of them.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Fig 1 looks like ficus benjimina to me
Fig2 looks like ficus rubinosa port Jackson fig

Hope that helps :fc:
But some other posters on this forum might have more definitive answers for you ficus Identification is not my strong suit.
Jac.

The first one could be a baby ben - are the leaves about 20mm long without and leaf reduction techniques having been done ?

Thanks for having a look guys. Mugen those were my thoughts too on number 2 :)

The leaves are small yes bougy. About 30-40mm long at there largest with no reduction done. When it shoots from buds it shoots a whole heap of shoots from the one bud and then I had to cut them all back to a single branch. I don't know if that is normal for other figs but I found it unusual.
