Hi guys,

Merry Christmas to all, hope bonsai santa was good to you.

I was hoping the brain trust here on Ausbonsai might be able to help me identify this maple that the mother in-law has been lugging around for about 10 years (and help me score some brownie points along the way )

Apparently a 'horticulturist' couldn't ID it. So I appreciate any help. Thanks guys and merry Christmas again.

Hi Ces,

I think this is Acer japonicum; common name is Fullmoon Maple. The leaf margins are slightly serrate and the sinuses only penetrate about half way through the leaves.
