[ID] My first bonsai, does anyone know what it could be?

Hi everyone,
Another beginner with a Bonsai for Christmas and very excited to get started! Currently I have no information on what species it is or how to care for it, so any and all help would be very greatly appreciated
If it helps, I live in Sydney.

I think it might be a cotoneaster or possibly a serissa what colour were the flowers?

Keep it outside. The new growth is extending under inside conditions by the look of it.

Cotoneaster horizontalis that looks as though it has been kept in not enough sun.

Nothing special, full sun, fert as for any other bonsai that flowers and fruits.

How long as it been inside? so slowly slowly back into the sun.

Ps now that I have commented on it, it might die as me and Cotoneasters do not get on.

Let's hope not, Pup! We can break the unlucky streak. I believe that it has been inside for about a week or two.
