Just got back from holidays and found these guys munching away on an oak. Does anybody know what they are?

Don't know name but they look like what I get often - spray a bit of Dipel or Pyrethrum. Or just squish them all - they not stinging are they?

Dipel is the produce to control them if you need or just pick them off. Cutting them in 1/2 works too

the irony....okay... I was looking way far into this.... I assumed this was in reference to the movie 'looper', whereby bruce willis from the future goes back in time to repeat the same events blah blah blah. I assumed it was a cryptic sense of humour.
