This is an Azalea I have had for some time and was told it was a Karume Jill Seymore. It has flowered once last year around May June. Then this flush I was thinking a spot flowerer here and there but it is now showing signs of a full flowering.

I'd say you have the rare split personality variant there.

Seriously though, I had purchased from Ray Nesci a japanese flowering quince which flowered in winter and was all nice and pretty.... but.... it flowered again and in full bloom in late December. I was amazed, and quite happy. Evolutionarily speaking, you will always have genetic variants, but I can't help you with Azalea knowledge sorry.

Mine started getting spot flowers few weeks ago, but have many buds that are not yet opened (most of them and many).

this is possibly a Gumpo, they flower quite late into December.
