Hi all,

Just wanted to know if this stuff taking over my trunk needs to go or is ok ?

It looks quite dry . I wouldn't see any issues with It as long as it drys out frequently . I think if it was constantly wet it may cause some issues like rot or collar rot .also some trees would be more susceptible to rotting. It is something I would try and avoid . But I'm no expert

I have a moss that loves to grow on trunks and is really hard to get rid of. I have never seen any damage as a result but at a workshop Hiro said best to get rid of it because thick moss on trunks and branches will stop any new buds that might want to grow.

I have to say that I clean my trunks with a soft toothbrush and fresh water to keep them clean.
No, it does no harm but it can get out of control and lets face it we work hard on our nabari, to make a focal point of it, such a shame to let it get covered up with moss.
