New Zealand Christmas bush

I just finished repotting my NZ Christmas bush. I am pleased with the lower trunk. I started to work on the top a couple of years ago to produce some taper - still needs to thicken up hence the 'bush' up there but it is getting there. I just started on the second branch and if the upper trunk thickens up enough this season I will begin work on the top. Hope you like :P

I love these trees :!: They have beatiful bark, especially when my sons footy doesn't remove it  they grow quickly, handle 40C without a dropped leaf :o Oh yeh, did I mention the bark

8-) I was wondering if I would be able to do something like this with some old nursery stock. I guess there is no excuse not to try.

Nice looking tree Edward

Be interested as how it goes. I had a tree for a few years and found it was prone to branch die back.... Eventually put it back in the ground. But yes they do have great bark!
