I attended the BSV meeting earlier in the week as a visitor - there were some bottle cap waterers on offer for sale. In retrospect they seam like a good idea but unfortunately I didnt grab any at the time. Who do get in touch with to get some now?

I picked one up from Ebay, but I can't seem to find any at the moment. They'll be on there, just not sure what they are called

Can you describe them?
I once bought some orange spikes from a garden centre in Perth that screwed onto any plastic bottle (600ml to 2 liters).
Is that what you're talking about?

I know they are sold by a member of the SA club. I'll check the packaging that I have and let you know if I find a contact.

This is what they look like:

I think they were offering them for sale at the BSV meeting - probably best if I get in touch with someone at the club and ask!

Probably your best bet :)

I did find the ebay seller, but they will probably be cheaper from your club: Plant Watering Attachment for Bottle

I saw them at Bonsai Emporium in Perth the other day.

Thought to myself "clever"...

Another simple idea I SHOULD have had :)

Have you tried making your own. Use the existing bottle top, get a needle and a cig lighter. Heat up the needle enough to pierce the top a number of times. Hey presto you have it.

haha funny you should say that, I had the exact same thought upon seeing them at the exact same store. Got home, and started looking online for one for myself :P

Although seeing Alan's post... maybe I should have thought a bit harder before spending the dollars :P haha great idea Alan!

Yeah I currently have something similar I made using a 2L milk bottle and small drill bit - but it doesnt satisfy my need to buy bonsai related gadgety stuff.

To be honest, I reckon I might do that tonight.

The watering container I am using has a massive leak in the head and the beautiful one I saw for $35 at my local nursery was not there when I went to buy it :(

They keep minimal bonsai and can get stuff from Bonsai Emporium...might have to put in an order for some items :)
