Its back budding nicely and should be a nice tree in a few years

Nice styling.

I'd be a little concerned about the top left hand branch, there doesn't look to be many buds on it?

The photo does not do it justice,
I have counted 5 buds poking through between the needles on the top left branch...
These will become larger over the next few weeks.
As this was candle/shoot cut in summer new buds/needle will develop over the next 8-10 weeks

It's been a few years since I shared an update on this one.
This is how it currently sits after needle reduction and it's due for a repot soon.

Looks good. If that inverse taper is knocked out, it will look great.

Looking good Iliya. The grafts on these are always hard to manage. I wonder if you could graft some branches on the base in the right spots to get it to thicken?

Agreed. The progress in ramification on this pine is pretty awesome. Well done to you - it's a credit to your skills and dedication.
