A while ago the southern Highlands were forming a Bonsai club they asked for a tree to be put on there shirts. With owners permission of course, some one suggested my tree that I call Houdini.
You can read why if you search.
I gave my consent and thought no more about it. Then a month ago I was asked what size ( bloody personnel) I said the largest they could get, well I was told on Monday it was in the post, and could they have a picture of the tree again so I sent them these ones.

It is a Melaleuca parviflora it was collected from the Southern river area in the Perth suburbs in about 1992. It won the inaugural BCI presidents award in Australia in 2001 AABC convention.

Houdini is an awesome tree Pup, definately one of my favs. Not suprised to hear it was picked for a logo :)

Do you have any pics of the shirt? Curious to see how it turned out

Pup,
I saw the "proto type" of the shirt tonight and it looks great. I am sure you will wear it with pride.
Watto
PS - tight so-and-so's wouldn't give me one, looks like I will have to open the old purse!!!!

Wow Pup.
Your tree is magnificent and a real credit to your skill as a bonsai artist. It is no surprise it was chosen to become the logo.

Thank you Mick, got the shirt last week sorry for not letting you know sooner. Mrs pup insists on washing any clothes before they are worn. So I had to wait. By then my feeble mind had forgotten.
Will take a picture when it is cooler as it is a Melbourne weight shirt not comfortable in 35 which seems to be our normal at the moment. Maybe wear it at the next club meeting to stir the pot

Also use this to get rid of the spam at the beginning of the Natives Page.

Cheers Pup
