I was walking in the park and saw this tree with seads hanging off it.

The seads look similar to those of trident maple, If anyone can ID it I'd also like to know if they are any good for bonsai.

Hi EJZ , mate this is an Acer Buergerianum possibly the variant Formosanum or Taiwan Trident Maple ..

Hard to be sure from just a few leaves.
Possibly Taiwan maple but more likely just Trident maple. Many of the trees I have seen in parks and gardens have this shaped leaf. Not sure why they are so different to the leaf shape of our bonsai when they get a bit bigger - possibly adult v juvenile leaf shape?? Seeds from trees with these leaves grow into trident bonsai with leaves the same as all other trident bonsai.
