These are my first 3 bonsai. They were received as presents this summer. Any advice on planning their development would be great.

G'day and welcome. If these are your first ever bonsai I would just concentrate on learning to keep them alive. Learn how to water them and watch their growth habits is a good start :tu:

Welcome to the world of bonsai,
Yes as bougy said your need to watch and learn from your plants and other bonsai enthusiast, and absorb all you can.
Sad about your juniper. Jacarandas really need to be grown as a larger bonsai. Chinese elm are different matter you can grow them to fit into the palm of your hand - to the other end, I have one that weigh 37 kg 1.2mtrs tall and a trunk nearly 300mm dia. They are a good tree for novices :tu2:

Channel your inner sponge, and soak up all the information you can :) :P

Still a newbie myself, so unable to give any quality advice sorry. Chinese Elms are a great place to start out though, can be a very forgiving tree :)

Thanks for your interest, info and advice guys. And I suppose I need to be good at looking after my trees and keeping them alive before I start doing anything else. Thanks again.
