So, is there anywhere in Victoria you'd recommend for buying mid-size to large bonsai stands? I find myself still looking less than a fortnight out from a show. Anywhere selling trunk slice stands?

Hey mate,

You may want to pay a visit to Orient Bonsai on Mahoney's road. They stock stands in multiple sizes and have quite a few stains/woods I believe. All hand carved and they're quite beautiful.

Regards,
Mo

There is a Japanese furniture store near the south Melbourne market called made in Japan. http://www.mij.com.au/ the website is only good for the street address.

There may have actual bonsai stands there, or perhaps a side table that would work equally as well! worth a look if you dont live too far away.. Oh the website says they have a show room in Mornington also if thats closer.
