Nothing like seeing it done in the flesh. Craig helped me AL my own swampie a few years ago and now I have two really lovely trees. I will try to do this more and more as the opportunity arises.

This winter I am making a plan to visit some friends houses to see where I could layer their maples once all the leaves have dropped so and I can see into the tree for structure.

Fun times ahead, just getting the time with a busy young family is the challenge!
