Hey guys,

This isn't my club, but I thought I'd post it up anyways for any WA members who might like to attend.

The Bonsai Workshop in WA will be holding their annual bonsai exhibition on the 17th and 18th of May, at the Craigie Leisure Centre (on Whitfords Ave, Craigie)

Saturday 10.00am through to 5.00pm and Sunday 9.00am through to 4.00pm

There will be demonstrations, raffles and a sales area and all of that for only a gold coin donation (how can you say no to that!?).

Fantastic! I've been waiting for this. I normally see a few signs around the main roads in the area however havnt spied one yet. Thanks for the heads up!

This in the northern suburb of Craigie that's why there are none locally.

Looks like I'll be bussing and training it out there.... now that my car has finally said its last words :'( .... so will probably miss all the good sales tree's

Will definatley have the camera though, so sub-standard photos there will be aplenty!

During set up one member was wandering around with i-thing in hand so should be plenty of photos.

The exhibition area is bursting at the seams - Peter Odin (responsible for set up) was heard to mutter "and there I was thinking we wouldn't have enough trees" while standing with a pot in each hand, wondering where he was going to put them!

Two things struck me yesterday (beyond, as usual, Pup's amazing tiny trees), One was the number of impressive two (and three) person bonsai - clearly some serious collecting has been going on over the last few years. The other was the range and inventiveness of the accent plants (brassica anyone?)- many of which didn't make it into the final display.

Back out later today, perhaps I'll take a camera....

Great show put on by the BONSAI WORKSHOP . Congrats to all those who were involved.. there were a lot of bigger trees this year I noticed which was great to see, great setup with space and light to enjoy the trees.
Different location as well may bring more ppl into this great past time..Didnt have a camera but I did notice there were alt of pics being taken.

Well imagine the first person to post photos from the exhibition did it from Northern Ireland

My sister lives in Perth and visited the exhibition as she knows I'd be interested. One day I'll get out there and see for myself

No pictures from me my camera was playing up or I had the settings wrong. Just clear up something up, none of my trees were on show.
I did not enter or help other than post a bump here.

Enjoyed it very much, lots of great trees. Congrats all involved!!

Unfortunately didn't get to stay as long as I would have liked, but did get to see everything Couldn't believe how good it was, the tree's were amazing, and the set up was great. Kudos to all involved, I thought it was great. Was good to put a few more names to faces too

Anyway, I did get a lot of photos despite not staying for long Let me know if I have any names wrong, most are from memory
