Hi guys,

It's been a long time since I have logged in and even longer since writing a post. After close to a couple of years or so of losing my interest and passion in bonsai through depression and other things I have started to pick up a little interest again, I'm by no means as enthusiastic as I was 4 years ago but do have a little tree inside me starting to bud again. I have been speaking to my brother and he thinks to get my drive back I need to do this, my wife thinks it would be good for me to do aswell. They think I should enter a few trees in the bonsai display, I think it would be good for me too, it might spark me up and give me some direction to get back into one of the things I loved to do in my life.

If any one knows who to contact or a website that has the info and registration? Forms I could be linked to it would be kindly appreciated. So in advance thank you to those kind enough to respond to this and maybe give me that little kick to get back my passion and drive in this amazing art form.

Regards Jamie.

Ps. I appreciate if people ask to see some of my trees again but I have lost a fair few after losing my passion and the flooding we had took a lot of my collection, it is no where near as large a collection as it was, honestly I probably have maybe 20% tops of what I had with maybe 5-8 of my trees you could call "finished or trained". It really sucked with the floods and my depression killed my drive and passion.

Have no idea about entering the show, but happy to ask you to post up some of your trees. :-)

Do you have older photos of the trees, and be able to post them as progressions?
It might be quite instructive to see them before and after a period of neglect. many of us will have trees in that category

ps, glad to see you on the mend
Ken

Hi mate, thanks for the response, I will have to get some pics but as I said there isn't a great deal left. I will see what's there and if there not to embarrassing i will put them up. There are lots I lost that was just devastating so I honestly can't say there is a great deal of promise.

Cheers mate, and it's nice to see I still have some mates of mine like yourself I considerd a good friend as there are some that won't even give me the time of day.

Hello Jamie, bloody good to read you again mate. Welcome, welcome and welcome.

As for the Show entries, probably best to give the Show Society a ring, or failing that give the Fraser Coast Regional Council a ring and they will point you in the right direction (they run the Show Grounds now) Sorry I can't be of more help than that. If you have contact with Taffy, he could help as he is a regular entrant of the Show. I haven't entered for a 100 years now.

Oh yes, and it really is good to see you back here. Please make a habit of it.

Welcome back Jamie.

Thanks for the explanation of your distance from this site.
I too echo Lackhands words and believe you've been a great asset to this site with your input over the years.

I wish you all the best as you continue to pursue happiness and trust that Bonsai can help you on this journey.
All the best!

Boics

P.S. I've always loved reading your signature - one of the best on AB!

Hi Jamie, did you get your entries in mate? I ducked over this afternoon for a quick sqizz, but didn't see your name anywhere.

Do you know who judged the Bonsai?
