As was suggested to me for one of my pines posted here. Although I won't be looking at grafting anything on this at this stage I have another JBP that I am considering giving it a go on. With a bit of research on the web I have read a lot on bud grafting on overseas forums and then the following 2 topics on here on thread grafting.

I've posted on these and hope for responses but was interested in any other techniques people have tried and their successes.

There seems to be issues with approach or in arch grafts either coming away or creating unsightly swellings. Has anyone had good success?

Has anyone had success with bud grafting? And when is the best time?

Any photos, thoughts, ideas or anything more than welcome.

I have done 2 appraoach grafts on JBP and they are working i hope. One looks probably ready to cut this summer and the other one ( on the same tree slower).
Tried to bud graft but they failed.

Still learning but think that grants thread graft technique should be cool to try.
