]Thought the title might get some interest, my Ulmus parvifolia x suberosa ( corky bark elm), and my Ligustrum vulgare ( privet spp).
Were loosing the dresses, so I thought to spruce them up a bit, and post some pictures.
Privet loses its foliage when it is cold enough.
Here they are in all their nakedness.
Enjoy Cheers Pup

Pup its a fair bit colder on my patch compared to yours so may I ask did you defoliate the privet? All the privet both small leaf and large leaf here still have their leaves on so I was a bit surprised to see yours naked.

Yes I did, what was happening was they were colouring up, which was fine, but started to go mushy, so I thought to get rid of them now.
Our temps here have been down to 0 but around 4/5, so it has been nippy for us, but the last week has seen plenty of beautiful rain.
Cheers Pup

A thread by Pup that says "Fun with Naked".

Having said that, I've still to see temps below 5C so my maples are still "dressed"

Could I ask please if the corky bark elm was propagated from cutting or root cutting or other means?
I would like to propagate some also.

I am not sure how it was propagated, as it was bought for me by a friend on a trip around Australia. He bought it from Ray Nesci in NSW.

G'day Pup, What brilliant ramification on both of these, hard to make up my mind which one I prefer, both great. Thanks for the post, Michael.
