I saved this Azalea from becoming part of our driveway in August 2011.
Here is a progression for 3 years.
It has been left alone in the pot for those 3 years to re-establish itself.
Just about to repot in the coming weeks.

Hi, Now thats a sudden change and boy does it look good and healthy as. Shooting back well and no sign of lace bug or spider mite unlike my poor azaleas in the garden. Keep us posted, all the best with it, Michael.

Thanks Michael,
It has suffered from both of those pests in the previous season.
But i now have a routine and the old girl is thriving.
Im happy with its progression. Albeit slow, it certainly has moved along when you put those photos side by side.
Thanks for the feedback.

Looks so lovely...I have failed to grow azaleas no matter how I tried. My water has high PH.
If it was mine I would chop/airlayer it after the third branch and shorten the remaining branches by half.

Thanks for the feedback Neli,
Will concentrate on the repot firstly, introduce significantly more Inorganic material to the mix.
Somewhere along the way it may very well have its length reduced, but this is a long term project. One thing at a time.

Good luck Mate! Azaleas like acid substrate added...like pine bark as organic.
