Flowering Almond tree (Prunus Dulcis)

I first saw Bodhi’s lovely Prunus Dulcis post here and it inspired me to chase these trees…I was lucky enough to get a couple of them from a closing down nursery in Lara about a year ago…

They were on a 25 litre bag and needed to cut into half so it can fit into the boot of my little car :)

Still on it's early stage and heaps of work needed to develop them into a nice bonsai tree but I’m enjoying the flowers for now...future plans are branch work and a little bit of carving :reading:

Flowering bonsai are special as soon as they start flowering, regardless of their developmental stage. Once the other features are developed, they are simply amazing.

This one is a joy to behold.

I agree with Mo - terrific. I too am a lover of the prunus and have a few coming into flower shortly.
Keep at those as they have great promise.
