I have recently been experimenting with Astrocarpus Faltacus - Sickle Leaved Yellowwood (as per an earlier post) and read an article that said if you immerse the seeds in saltwater for 48 hours, the germination period can be cut by as much as 50%. Does anyone know exactly what salt does to have this effect? Has anyone used this technique on seed before?
