As it is the first day of spring today, :tu: :tu: and my trees are all either in full bud or well on the way to it, I took some photos of the colour around this morning.

Please add your photos of flower and colourful new growth as well.

Enjoy
Ken

Lovely flowering trees you have Ken...
My bougies never stopped flowering the whole winter...I dont think I see them often without flowers.
I have a funny looking cotoneaster flowering with red flowers....is it common? Let me go get a picture.
Flowers are closed...or finished already.

Thanks Neli. I do like your Bougies :-)
My white one had Brachts all winter, but this red one had none. My other really big one has not flowered at all in the pot :lost:

I have some prunus I collected a few years ago coming out now, so will update later :-)

It's a rich life you lead, Ian, if only in colour! Thanks for posting. Your "collected street tree" looks like my seedling peach - possible?

Gavin

Hi GavinG , Mate its good to see the colour but with more heavy frosts forecast its a worry . The collected street tree is a Prunus Cerasifera Nigra , looks very similar to the peach? in the garden , grown from seed from a supermarket fruit purchase last year and flowering this year .

Cheers. Alpine

Look forward to adding to this thread when I get a moment.
