Hi,

Now that it's spring, it will be interesting to have people post photos of their wisteria bonsai so we can see the progression of this beautiful flowering tree! Some will be flowering and some will not be so it will be interesting to have some tips and advice going on as well!

No! This is not my tree but something to aspire to.
I visited a friend in Melbourne who asked if I would take a photo of his wisteria about 3 years ago. I was delighted with the photo. I expect he is far more delighted with his achievement.

My wisteria has entirely skipped flowering and is now growing leaves and tendrils everywhere! It had 2 flowering buds before the leaves appeared which I accidentally knocked off while moving the tree around. Could this be a reason why it's now full of leaves but no flowers? I'll post photos soon.

I just uprooted an 6 year Chinese W.chinensis 'Alba' I bought in 2010, and I reckon it was 2 years old then. it has not so far flowered anyway. And the leaf buds, I can't see any flower buds, are yet to open. BUT :fc: it should do so in a few years, if I spoil it like rotten :tu2:
Then it should look like this one day? :fc:

What do you guys feed your Wisteria that is low in Nitrogen? How often and when?

I just bought Potash (or something like that) today which I hope should be ok right?

I went to a local hydro store and picked up some Canna PK/13/14 - feeding once every 10 days. Mine now has flower buds all over it.

Inspired,

I feed mine the same as I feed my maples. If that helps any.
